When someone asks me the question, “What was your favorite memory from this school year?” I never know how to answer.

That changed tonight.

Tonight I….

Witnessed something beautiful.

Followed the stories of dancers on a stage.

Went for a walk.

Held the hand of the man I love.

Did something bold.

Took off my shoes.

Danced under the stars.

Told my story with no words, and no music.

And it was perfect. <3

Super fun in the sun with lots of colors in the air! :D

Reality Check.

The future used to be something I would always dream about as a kid. Growing up, I always dreamed of becoming an adult, going to college,  getting a job, falling in love and finding a husband, starting a family, and living life as it should be lived…To its fullest potential.

The future is now here. I am an adult. I am finishing my second year of college, on the track to becoming an elementary-level teacher. I am in love, and it is a great feeling. I still have a long way until I get married and am able to start (and support) a family, but I am always living life to its fullest potential.

The future still has yet to come. There are always things that will remain uncertain, unclear, and completely out of our control. Obstacles thrown our way. Good news and bad. Ups and downs. It’s a constant cycle called LIFE. It is crazy, but it is definitely worth living.

If I have learned anything in my 20 years of living, it is that…EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON. The future is out of our hands, but it is closer than we ever imagine. Hold on to the present. Don’t look TOO far ahead, but definitely stay determined. Planning out your life years in advance is a scary concept, but it is also reassuring. Comforting.

Just…be patient…And live in the now.

BLEH.

Why is the first day back after being home for a week always so difficult? I’m hardcore struggling this morning….I hope the rest of the day gets better…because…well…..right now, I’m homesick and missing my mom. ALREADY. Umm, what the heck? BLEH. At least there’s only, what…7 weeks left? And this week is short.
